Bench lake and Snow lakes are subalpine lakes tucked within the Tatoosh range. Snow lake is filled by the meltwater from the snowfields of the Tatoosh Range and lies in a talus strewn cirque beneath the highest point in the Tatoosh Range. On a clear day Bench lake offers breathtaking views of Mount Rainier.

Naches Peak Loop Trail is one of our absolute favorite hikes in the Pacific Northwest. Tucked away near Chinook Pass in Mt Rainier National Park, this 3.2 mile loop packs in an incredible amount of scenery for a relatively easy hike — alpine meadows bursting with wildflowers in summer, blazing fall foliage in autumn, views of Dewey Lake, and the mighty Mt Rainier as a backdrop for much of the trail. If you are looking for one hike to do near Mt Rainier that does not require a lot of effort but delivers jaw-dropping views, this is it.

The funicular railway, which is more than 100 years old, transports you to the Harder Kulm at 1322 metres above sea level in less than 10 minutes. The ride to the summit station is steep, and throughout the journey and from the top of mountains you will have magnificent views to Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau as well as Lakes Brienz and Lake Thun.

Interlaken is surrounded by some of the highest mountains in the Alps including Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. It is nestled between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz in the Bernese Highlands and is located in central Switzerland.
