The funicular railway, which is more than 100 years old, transports you to the Harder Kulm at 1322 metres above sea level in less than 10 minutes. The ride to the summit station is steep, and throughout the journey and from the top of mountains you will have magnificent views to Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau as well as Lakes Brienz and Lake Thun.
We did this during evening after a morning trip to Jungfraujoch. It was really relaxing to spend the evening at this location, looking at the majestic mountains and lakes that surround Interlaken.
Get a train to Interlaken Ost Station. Walk around 10 mins to Harder railway funicular to Harder Kulm.
It is open only in summer from April to November. So make sure you check the timetable during your visit.
The funicular departs every 30 minutes and its possible that in summer you might have to wait for an hour to get to top.
In just ten minutes, the panorama funicular takes guests from Interlaken up to its local mountain Harder Kulm.

Have dinner at Harder Kulm Restaurant A lovely restaurant with turrets and a red tile roof.
The Zwei-Seen-Steg(“Two-Lakes-Bridge”) with an airy viewing platform with a glass area in its floor. From here, truly deep sights can be seen and the magnificent view to Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau as well as Lakes Brienz and Lake Thun.
