With the mild temperatures and the rain, Seattle got beautiful blooms to brighten up any gray spring day. The University of Washington is well known for its stunning array of cherry blossoms, which bloom at different times, though March tends to be perfect for enjoying their delicate flourishes.

We took a walk through the Queen Anne neighbourhood with some beautiful cherry blossoms in April. The attached images are of a flowering Japanese cherry tree (sato zakura) in Seattle, WA. The specific kind of this sato zakura is either a Kwanzan or Sekiyama flowering cherry tree.

Queen Anne neighbourhood is one of our favourite walks, with amazing view of downtown Seattle. In spring, this area blooms with cherry trees, daffodils, star magnolia and is a visual treat to the eyes.


Seattle, Washington’s largest city, has the potential list of endless fun things to do. From the world famous Starbucks coffee to other local craft coffee shops, there is more than enough place to get caffeinated and keep you going here in Seattle.

During our eurotrip, we took train from Amsterdam to Brussels and decided to spend half a day to explore Brussels before heading out to Paris. We had to stash our big luggage bags at some location in the train station before heading out to explore Brussels. We did lose some time trying to figure out the lockers and onward train to Brussels Central etc, so this information would be beneficial for other fellow travellers.
